The farm, in a strategic position to visit Palermo and its province, offers its guests also a playground and a restaurant where you can taste typical Sicilian products. The Agriturismo Cicala was born from the desire to restore the old home of the "Misa" to its original use as a holiday place: going on vacation, at the end of the last century, meant not only getting away from the summer heat of the city, but also participating in the work of the countryside in the period of greatest intensity. Therefore, “La Misa” was a meeting place, where people exchanged experiences, traditions and innovations. The house, built during the last decade, by Michelangelo Cecala, is located near the ruins of the old monastic settlement of “Santa Maria della mensa”, granted by Paul Cicala, Constable of Sicily in 1203, and is near the fountain donated by Don Antonio Amato, Prince of Galati and lord of Caccamo, in 1681. With the renovation, we have tried to keep the warmth of family reception, together with the rediscovery of rural traditions, of daily work of the land, of the genuine taste of vegetables.
