Club Alpino Siciliano – Ente Giuridico Per Il Turismo Montano

Founded in 1892, Club Alpino Siciliano is now a quite big association with many members, managing 11 shelters in the region and registered as legal entity recognized by the President of the Sicilian Region with decree n. 210/A 5-8-1957. The association organizes various activities for young people and has an important role in protecting the environment and nature, as well as in enhancing sustainable tourism in the mountains of Sicily. Among the major sporting activities that are representative of the Club’s purposes we can list: hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing, caving, mountain skiing, alpine skiing, Nordic skiing. Club Alpino Siciliano has participated in numerous competitive sportive activities in the field of skiing and sport climbing, being registered as sports club with F.I.S.I. (Italian Winter Sports Federation) and F.A.S.I. (Italian Federation of Sport Climbing). In this field, the Association has organized some national qualifying competitions providing adequate technical and logistical support.
