The Case Tabarani estate stands on a hilltop in the valley of the Imera river, in a panoramic location that provides a sweeping view stretching from Palermo’s Monte Pellegrino to the highest peaks of the Madonie. The estate carries out farming activities (olive production and livestock) and provides holiday accommodation in six residential units, each of them composed of two or three rooms, for a total number of 28 beds and a restaurant with seats for 60 diners.
All the units are fully furnished and equipped with all services, with shower and wireless broadband. Most rooms offer breathtaking panoramic views.
The ground floor is taken up with the reception room, the most historic portion of the building, with its original tiled floor.
There are two residential units on the ground floor, Rosa canina (dog-rose) and Biancospino (hawthorn), and four on the first floor, Ortica (nettle), Ginestra (gorse), Mirto (myrtle), Cardo (thistle) (the names are taken from wild flowers and plants that grow in the surrounding countryside, with thistle and myrtle forming the basis for delicious traditional liquors that we make for our guests).
The restaurant occupies the central area of the ground floor and offers seating for 60. The dining area is the most historically important part of the building, and it contains, in their original locations, the historic olive presses and mill, on which the date 1886 is engraved.
The restaurant provides a range of local dishes from the Madonie mountains, with vegetables from the farm garden or wild vegetables and herbs from the surrounding area at certain times of the year, meat from animals reared on the farm, plus a range of products from affiliated and nearby farms.
